Erik Solheim

Erik served in the Norwegian government from 2005 to 2012 as Minister of International Development and Minister of the Environment. He also worked Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and was the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme from 2016 to 2018. As a senior advisor to the World Resources Institute (WRI) and as CEO of the Plastic REVolution Foundation, Erik continues to foster global dialogues and engagement for green and social development. He strongly believes in building positive narratives, in providing role models for change and in sharing the great efforts that entrepreneurs, policy makers, individuals and organizations from around the world make for a better society.
